PROVISION OF SANITARY WEAR AND MENSTRUAL EDUCATION IN THE CONTEXT OF COVID 19 PANDEMIC

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

1. To provide sanitary wear including reusable pads and menstrual cups for every girl and woman unable to financial provide for themselves

2. To educate girls, women and even boys on menstrual hygiene

3. Making sure that homes and schools have the necessary means and menstrual products that will allow both girls and women in the school and work place to practice good healthy menstrual hygiene

4. The project aims at highlighting prevalent menstrual hygiene practices attitudes religious and cultural beliefs as they impact on the girl child  

EXPECTED RESULTS

The project will result in  

• Increased number of less privileged girls and women accessing sanitary wear

• Empowered girls and women with high self esteem

• Increased knowledge on menstrual health related issues and understanding on the use of reusable pads and menstrual cups.
