COVID-19 Emergency Relief

The year 2020 saw most countries facing COVID-19 pandemic which had up to now resulted in many deaths globally. Zimbabwe a country which was already experiencing myriad of socio-political and economic challenges was no exception COVID-19 worsened the situation.

As a result we recently took part in the distribution of food hampers to chronically illy patients and other beneficiaries in the community. We also gave out personal protective equipment consisting of KN95 masks and latex gloves to six clinics in Nkulumane Bulawayo. The clinics were in need of washing units consistent of water buckets and stands which we have managed to source and distribute.

A total of 232 families were supported and during the distribution exercise information on issues related to health and hygiene in the context of COVID-19 was disseminated including other things regular washing of hands, maintaining social distance and wearing of masks.
