The Covid 19 pandemic has led to a dramatic loss of human life worldwide and presents an unprecedented challenge to public health ,food system and the world of work .The economic and social disruption caused by the pandemic is devastating ,informal economy workers are particularly vulnerable because the majority lack social protection and access to quality health care have lost access to productive assets .without the means to earn  an income during lockdowns ,many are unable to feed themselves and their families ,for most no income means no food or at  best less food and less nutritious food .

The Moyo family, a hardworking family was affected to a point of not being able to provide for their children. Unfortunately, they contracted COVID-19 and struggled to recover. SwiZimaid Trust  recognised this opportunity to build back better and provided the family received with a food hamper. These are situations we see daily and we need your support in order to help them. Please contact us for more information on how you can get involved.

SwiZimaid trust believes that priority should be given to addressing underlying food security and malnutrition challenges, tackling poverty and that is why we take such situations seriously.
