Providing food aid to Child Headed Households (CHH)in the context of Covid-19

Target Group

Children below the age of 18 and heading homes.

Project Activities

• Identification and verification of CHH.
• Networking and collaborating with local partners to increase reach.
• Purchase of food items hampers consisting of 20kg maize meal, 2 litres of cooking oil and 2 kgs soya mince.
• Food distribution exercise with support of volunteers and local partners.

Project Goal

To provide for every girl child and woman with no access to sanitary wear including reusable pads and menstrual cups.

To educate girls, women and even boys on menstrual hygiene.

Target Group

Women and girls and boys.

Project Activities

• Identifying and verifying less privileged girls and women to benefit from sanitary wear support
• Conducting menstrual health education workshops
• Conducting menstrual health community sensitization meetings
• Procurement and distribution of sanitary wear
• Training on sewing cloth re-usable sanitary wear.
• Partnering with relevant organizations and school clubs in disseminating information on menstrual health

• Conducting computer literacy lessons in the community for all in need of it.
